I love the steampunk design feel as well - I'm a big fan of Miyazaki movies like Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle, which have just gorgeous animation and settings and always inspire me creatively. It's been inspiring my kids as well - my 8-year old recently made a steampunk vehicle out of Legos, all in browns, blacks, and whites. I agree!
