<description>Hi Karyn, it's lovely to be back here. I have missed keeping up with my fellow artist moms. Thank you for the kind words and yes, of course I'll write a few more words about my techniques and materials when I get some time. I have one of those intense weeks ahead as suddenly I've received five commissions out of the blue but once those are clear I'll be back. The Etsy v. Ebay etc questions are an interesting one to answer as I'm sure everyone's experiences are different and to be fair I haven't dedicated enough time to Etsy to make it work. I've been using Ebay for eleven years so it's home territory for me. The results there are more immediate, I think it may be down to the fact that I can target a local market. I think that Etsy are going to make it easier to promote your work to your home country but right now the UK don't know too much about Etsy and international postage prices put me at a disadvantage there.

<description>Hi, Lou! I can totally relate to what you're going through. I think we're on a bit of a parallel path right now, because, like you, I've had to put big commissions on the back burner for the time being, and instead have been fulfilling my artistic side with beading and smaller projects. It's been very frustrating, but I keep reminding myself to enjoy these years while I can with my son. Too soon he'll be out of the house and I'll have more time than I probably want to get all my art done.

I adore your glass painting! And I'm so full of questions about it. I also was interested in your experiences with etsy vs. ebay, etc. I really hope you'll consider doing a tutorial for the blog in the future about your glass painting -- what kinds of paints you use, how you choose the glass, how you transfer the design, or do you freehand it? etc.
