'Flank Hawk' by Terry W. Ervin IIWell, my first post finally!  Been a member, in abstentia, for quite some time now and managed to find a few minutes to blog.  For those of you unfamiliar with my fame (or infamy!) my name is Christine Griffin (Cris, to most, but that derned Family Guy cartoon totally ruined that for me), and I’m a freelancer.  Jill of all trades, mistress of none.  Mother to three, wife to one, with a gift for burning both ends of any given candle.

My vanity lures me to enjoy creating book covers, and what with the e-publishing boom, it offers artists many an opportunity to design covers.  Not all of them pay well, and more often than not they don’t hit any measure of popularity.  But this one might just do something.

Flank Hawk by Terry W. Ervin II is available through Amazon if anyone’s interested.  I don’t get to do nearly as many of these gems as I’d like, but that’s just part of being a Mom Who Makes Stuff:  something’s gotta give, and it’s usually the biz.

Happy Monday, folks!  And do something creative today…

me150x150Just wanted to say congrats to our mom jgoode who has been featured in both a print article and a podcast this week.

In the Yahoo Finance article, 7 Ways to Make Extra Money, Jen talks a little bit about how she sells her designs on print-on-demand company, CafePress.com.

And today she’s the featured guest on Andrew Wee’s Friday Podcast: Print-On-Demand Business Strategies With JGoode.

In the podcast, Jen talks about how she got started on the internet, how to get started in POD businesses, how to generate traffic to your stores and more.

If you are at all interested in selling your work online, you should go check both the article and the podcast. In fact, I’m off to give the podcast a listen right now!

Congratulations, Jen!
